'The Vast of Night' | Directorial Debuts

This week on the podcast we watch a new movie!  Andrew Patterson's The Vast of Night premiered at Slamdance in 2019 and debuted on Amazon Prime May 29, 2020, ushering in a new talent (Patterson) and raising the par for low-budget filmmaking.  But is this just a "calling card" film or can it reach the heights of other debut films from some of the world's most renowned directors?
