'Little Women' | Meryl Streep Performances

Can three grown men like a film called Little Women?! Of course they can!  But do they loooove it??  Find out!  We break down Greta Gerwig's adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's novel first published in 1868.  But is the subject matter still relevant?  Is Gerwig cut out for the job, with only 2017's Ladybird under her belt?

Finally, we break down arguably the greatest living actress' Top 5 best performances!

'Ford v Ferrari' | Top 5 Bale/Damon Performances

Start your engines, folks!  We're off to France (or is it Italy?) with James Mangold's Ford v Ferrari (or Le Mans '66 for some of our international friends)!  We discuss Mangold's successful but perhaps unmemorable career, the importance of tone and the two great actors who lead this film.  Finally, we wrap it up with our Top 5 performances by Christian Bale or Matt Damon!

Lol!  The Joker's back!  We're on top of it this week with an on-time review of Todd Phillips' controversial Joker!  The film leaves us divided to say the least and that disagreement takes up most of the episode until we wrap it up with our Top 5 Lonely Characters.  

'Ad Astra'

A couple weeks late to the celestial party that is James Gray's Ad Astra, but we've reviewed it and we've got some diverging takes!  We move on to two compelling emails from listeners, and finally, Chapin shares an existential crisis with the boys over Hustlers.

'Three Kings' | 20th Anniversary

We Three Kings be stealing the gold this week as we jump back to the best year in cinema again to revisit David O. Russell's action-packed and highly lauded film.  Then, we revisit our most anticipated films for the rest of 2019 in our Top 5.

Paul Thomas Anderson | Directors Series

It's FINALLY here!  We've been waiting for this one for a while, one of our favorites of all time, the Paul Thomas Anderson retrospective.  We count down his 8 amazing films and give out our Fixies for performances, screenplay and cinematography.  It's a long one but a good one.  

Episode 131 'The Insider' | 20th Anniversary

Back in time again we go to 1999, possibly the greatest year in cinema history, with Michael Mann's The Insider.  The highly acclaimed and Oscar-nominated film is a favorite for us three, but never have we discussed it in as much detail as we do here.  And for our Top 5 this week (41:30), we list our Top 5 films with two great performances and we vote on the best!
