We're a little bit late for Halloween, but nevertheless, this week we go way back to 1976 for Brian De Palma's Carrie.  We're joined by Brantley this week, who we poke and prod for his thoughts on the state of the horror genre.  Then we wrap it all up with our Top 5 High School Outcasts.

We saw the new(ish) horror film Hereditary in theaters.  The film's been wooing critics and we expore if it lives up to the hype.  Finally, we move on to our Top 5 worst cinematic parents. 

Episode 101 (Jurassic Park - The 25th Anniversary)

Welcome to Jurassic Park!  It's been 25 years since the monumental, record breaking cultural phenomenon changed movies forever.  We chat about its impact on us and the film industry.  That leads us into a debate over visual effects and their use in modern blockbusters.  Finally, we wrap it all up with our Top 5 cinematic worlds we'd love to live in.

Episode 100 (The Deer Hunter, Marvel, Top 5s of the decade)

Our 100th episode!  We've stopped and started a few times since our Inception in 2010.  But we've finally made it to 100!  We take a look back at The Deer Hunter, an important film for the three of us.  Next, with the help of a special suprise guest, we break down Marvel's most recent works Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther. Finally, we wrap it all up with our Top 5 of the 2010s.  

Episode 99 (The Shape of Water)

We get wet this week with 2017's Best Picture winner/fish porno The Shape of Water.  We move on to a brief discussion of Hollywood's love affair with itself.  And finally, we wrap it all up with, you guessed it, our Top 5 scenes involving water.  

Episode 98 (Tully)

Get your breast pumps out, cause we're reviewing Tully this week!  The latest from Jason Reitman and Diablo Cody leaves us a little divided, in particular over the "twist" ending.  We wrap it up with our Top 5 assistant/helpers.  

Episode 97 (You Were Never Really Here)

Knock, knock.  We hammer into Joaquin Phoenix's newest film You Were Never Really Here, directed by the eclectic Scottish filmmaker Lynne Ramsay.  And then we finish the episode with our top 5 characters we wouldn't want showing up at our door.  

Episode 96 (A Quiet Place)

Shhhhh...We watched A Quiet Place but we had to break our silence to give you our take.  We then transition into a larger discussion on using a lack of dialogue in movies, while finally wrapping it all up with our Top 5 Movies directed by Actors.

The first in what we hope will be our Director's Series, the Tarantino Retrospective counts down the infamous director's 8 films.  We list our favorites in order then award Fixies to Quentin's career bests.

We entered the Shimmer!  And we've come out with strong opinions on Alex Garland's Annihilation.  We talk more about the the science fiction drama and how it's envolved.  Finally, we wrap it all up with our Top Five movies about fear and dread.  

Episode 93 (Phantom Thread)

This week we look at one of our ALL TIME favorite directors with Paul Thomas Anderson's newest film Phantom Thread.  We move on to a brief discussion about directors and esoteric subject matter and finally wrapping it all up with our Top Five Food Scenes.

Lee, Chapin and Tyson try to uncover if the new reboot of the Spider-Man franchise is any better than Sam Raimi’s film. They discuss whether or not there was any point in rebooting the franchise in the first place. Then it’s their top 5 performances they didn’t expect to be good.

Episode 84 (Moonrise Kingdom)

Lee, Chapin and Tyson argue over Wes Anderson and his new film Moonrise Kingdom. They talk about one of their (one time) favorites, Edward Norton and the trajectory of his career. Then they struggle through their top 5 camping films of all time.
